1 Credit Card Sign Up Bonus, $1,000 Off Your Disney Vacation

Take a chunk out of the cost of your Disney vacation with a great credit card sign up bonus. You can save up to $1,000. We’ve used this strategy with a variety of credit cards over the years, saving on flights, hotels, and park tickets.

The card we’re recommending to help you save on your next Disney vacation, not only has a sign up bonus worth up to $1,000, but the annual fee is waived the first year.

$1,000 Off Your Disney Vacation

The Chase Sapphire Preferred has a sign up bonus worth up to $1,000. And, the $95 annual fee is waived the first year, so you can cancel the card if you decide not to keep it.

How It Works

You earn 50,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards after spending $4,000 in the first three months. You earn an additional 5,000 points for adding an authorized user who makes at least one purchase in that time period. Plus, you’ll earn two points per dollar spent on travel and dining purchases, and one point per dollar on everything else.

The points can be transferred directly to 13 travel partners which include Southwest Airlines, United Airlines, Hyatt, and more. You can also use your points to book other kinds of travel through Chase like Disney vacation packages.

Best Ways to Use These Points on a Disney Vacation

Disney Vacation Package – You can use the points from the sign up bonus to purchase a Disney vacation package. Chase acts as your travel agent and books through Disney, so you’ll get the same discounts you’d find on Disney’s website. We’ve outlined how to do this HERE.

Chase gives you 1.25 cents per points. So, if you have the full 55,000 points from the sign up bonus, you’ll save $687 off your Disney vacation package.

Southwest Airlines Flights – You can also transfer your Chase Ultimate Rewards directly into your Southwest Rapid Rewards account. 55,000 points will get you about $825 in free flights on Southwest.

Hyatt Hotels – Just like Southwest, you can transfer points right into your Hyatt account. For Disney World, we love the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. Just outside of Disney Springs, it commonly costs $300 a night and costs just 15,000 points.

For Disneyland, we like the Hyatt House Anaheim. It commonly costs around $240 a night and costs just 12,000 points. Your 55,000 sign up bonus points are worth about $1,100 toward a stay in a Hyatt hotel.

Chase Sapphire Preferred

There’s no annual fee in your first year. And, your sign up bonus could save you $1,000 on your Disney vacation. For these two reasons, this is our favorite sign up bonus to save on a Disney vacation.

If you sign up using our referral link, Chase will also give us some points. You don’t know us, but we’re fantastic people. We help old ladies cross the street and always recycle.

Honorable Mention

The Venture Card from Capital One is our second favorite sign up bonus for Disney vacations. You get 50,000 bonus points after spending $3,000 in the first three months. Plus, the $95 annual fee is also waived in the first year.

The points you earn with the Venture Card can be redeemed as a statement credit for travel purchases. 50,000 points are worth $500. Travel purchases include airfare, hotel stays, and Disney vacation packages. You can even get Disney park tickets to code as travel if you purchase them through Undercover Tourist.
