Best Ways to Use the Marriott Free Night Certificate at Disney

The Marriott Bonvoy credit cards offer a free night each year with your annual fee. The Bonvoy Boundless and Business cards get you a free night that is good for any hotel that costs 35,000 points or less. There are some great options for both Disney World and Disneyland. Here are the best ways to use the Marriott free night certificate at Disney.

1) SpringHill Suites at Anaheim Resort/Convention Center

Average Cost Per Night: $317
Points Per Night: 35,000

That’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout at Disneyland in the background (back when it was still Tower of Terror). The SpringHill Suites at Anaheim Resort/Convention Center is at the Southeast corner of Disneyland, a very short walk to the entrance.

You can get a large King or 2 Queen Studio Suite that sleeps up to 6 with your free night certificate or 35,000 points per night. You’ll also get a free hot breakfast every morning.

2) Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center

Average Cost Per Night: $322
Points Per Night: 35,000

The beautiful Gaylord Palms is just across I-4 from Disney World, and only a 10-15 minute drive (or shuttle ride) away. With it’s own water park, a trip to the Gaylord Palms is almost a complete vacation by itself.

With the Marriott credit cards, you’ll earn a free night each year that you could use at the Gaylord Palms and save an average of $322 per night. The Gaylord does have a $22 resort fee, which you’ll likely still have to pay.

3) Fairfield Inn Anaheim Resort

Average Cost Per Night: $360
Points Per Night: 35,000

The Fairfield Inn Anaheim is almost as close as you can possibly get to the entrance of Disneyland. You won’t even walk a half mile to be inside the park. But, the two queen room you can get on points is 228 square feet. So, it’s a great deal if you want proximity, but not if you want space.

4) Sheraton Park Hotel at the Anaheim Resort

Average Cost Per Night: $317
Points Per Night: 35,000

The furthest away of the three Anaheim hotels we’ve mentioned, the Sheraton Park Anaheim is a little over a one mile walk to Disneyland. The two-queen room with a balcony is 370 square feet. But, the nicest feature of this hotel are the grounds. Even though you’re in Anaheim, this courtyard area will make you feel like you’re in an oasis.

Marriott Bonvoy Boundless

The Marriott Bonvoy Boundless comes with a 100,000 point sign up bonus after spending $5,000 in the first three months. That’s almost enough for three free nights at any of these hotels.

It has a $95 annual fee which is not waived in the first year like some cards. It earns two points per dollar spent on most purchases and six points per dollar at Marriott hotels.

And, don’t forget, Marriott offers a 5th night free when using points. Your free night certificate won’t count toward that, but it’s helpful to remember if you’re trying to use points for the rest of your stay.
