$600 Sign Up Bonus on the Capital One Venture, Perfect for Disney Vacations

Whether you’re planning a trip to Disneyland, Disney World, Aulani, or Universal Orlando, their are some great ways to earn and use Capital One Venture points for Disney vacations. The reason we love this card is because the points are redeemable for travel purchases, so you can basically cash in your points to pay off Disney vacation purchases.

  • Cash in your points to pay off travel purchases

You’ll get 60,000 points, worth $600 when you spend $3,000 in the first three months. Plus, you earn two points on every dollar you spend on the card. So, after you’ve spent $3,000 in your three months, you’ll end up $660 to use your Disney vacation.

Extra Perk: TSA PreCheck Reimbursement

The Capital One Venture card also comes with up to a $100 credit for TSA PreCheck or Global Entry purchases. I just renewed mine a few weeks ago with Capital One Venture card and the credit showed up on my account within a couple weeks. Since you’re paying a $95 annual fee, this is a great way to get it back.

Cash in for Park Tickets, Hotel Stay or Flights

Here are ways you can use your points to purchase vacation packages, hotel stays, flights, or your park tickets. In each of these cases, you’ll be able to redeem your points as statement credit after you make one of the eligible travel purchases below.

Vacation Packages, Hotel Stays & Flights

Disney Vacation Packages, which include at least your hotel stay and park tickets, are eligible travel purchases. This is also true if you only book a hotel stay or book flights.

Park Tickets

When you’re purchasing tickets-only through Disney, you can’t use your Venture points because it doesn’t code as a travel purchase.  Instead, purchase your Disney World or Disneyland tickets through Undercover Tourist. Undercover Tourist codes as a travel agency, even when you’re purchasing park tickets. Plus they sell them at a discount.

I really like the Capital One Venture card because you’re getting a great sign up bonus, worth $600. And, the points are redeemable like cash as reimbursement for travel purchases which also makes it simple.

If you decide to apply for the Capital One Venture card, consider using our referral link. You get the same great deal and we get some points for pointing you in the right direction.

P.S. Don’t forget to take advantage of your TSA PreCheck or Global Entry credit. It will make your vacation that much easier.
