The largest ever sign up bonus for the Chase Sapphire Preferred is now available. You can earn 80,000 points, which is worth up to $1,600. The offer will give you 50,000 points initially after you spend $4,000 in the first three months. You’ll get an additional 30,000 bonus points after you spend a total of $20,000 in the first year. This is 80,000 bonus points plus the points you’ll earn on the $20k you’ve spent, meaning you’ll have at least 100,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards.
Top Ways to Spend 100k Ultimate Rewards
Here’s how we’d spend the 80,000 bonus points and the 20,000-ish you’ll earn from meeting the sign up bonus:
1) 6 Nights at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress
Hyatt is one of the transfers partners for the Sapphire Preferred. At 15,000 Hyatt points per night, you could stay at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress for six nights (90,000 points) and some to spare. Those six nights would cost about $1,944 based on our sample bookings, which is a nice savings.
2) $1,500 in Flights on Southwest
Southwest Airlines is another transfer partner for the Chase Sapphire Preferred. 100,000 Southwest Rapid Rewards will get you about $1,500 in free flights. That should be enough to fly your whole family and then some.
3) $1,250 Toward a Disney Vacation Package
You can also book a Disney Vacation Package with Ultimate Rewards. You’ll get 1.25 cents per points when you book through Chase. You can pay the difference for your vacation with a Chase credit card or Disney gift cards.
4) 5 Nights at the Hyatt House Anaheim
This is one of our favorites and it’s only 12,000 points per night. But, it’s unlikely you’ll spend more than five nights at Disneyland. Those five nights will only cost you 60,000 points when you transfer them to Hyatt and you’ll save about $1,235.
5) Four Round Trip Flights to Aulani
We’ve outlined two ways to use Chase Ultimate Rewards to fly to Aulani on our Top 10 page. Each of these options will get you round trip tickets for 25,000 points each. It’s probably the most valuable option on this list, but we rank it at the bottom because it’s takes more work to book than the others.
