Chase stopped booking Disney hotels, park tickets, and vacation packages with Ultimate Rewards for their Sapphire Preferred and Sapphire Reserve cards last week.
There are more questions than answers at this point. Chase has not given an explanation and their travel agents don’t seem to know the reason or whether it’s a permanent change.
We think this is likely to be temporary, but no one except Chase and Disney know for sure. We will let you know as soon as things change or if we find out the change is permanent.
Need to Book Now?
If you have a trip coming up and need to use your Ultimate Rewards, there are some alternatives. You could still transfer points to Southwest Airlines, JetBlue, United, or even book flights on other airlines directly through Chase. You could also transfer points to Hyatt or book off-site hotels through Chase. And, you can book an on-site hotel like the Swan or Dolphin because they’re not owned by Disney.
Feel free to email us your questions at email@example.com and we’ll try to help you with any upcoming vacations plans you have.
