Chase just released a new Chase Pay promotion that could earn you more than 20% in points on Disney gift card purchases. They’re offering a 1,500 point bonus on the Sapphire Preferred and Reserve cards for making five Chase Pay transactions from October through December. Since Best Buy takes Chase Pay, you can stack it with the Swagbucks promotion.
Chase Pay Promotion
Notice the extra 1,500 Ultimate Rewards for using Chase Pay five times at “any other participating retailer this quarter”? Best Buy is one of those participating retailers.
We’ll show you how to stack this promotion with the Swagbucks promotion and Best Buy Rewards.
Chase Pay Promotion at Best Buy w/ Swagbucks
You can buy five $50 Disney gift cards ($250 total) at Best Buy. Here’s what you’ll have when you finish this promotion:
- 1,750 Swagbucks worth $17.50
- Between $2.50 and $6.25 in Best Buy Rewards
- 1,750 Chase Ultimate Rewards worth up to $35
- Total – $55 or more worth of points
Step by Step Instructions
Prep: First, make sure you’ve downloaded the Chase Pay app and linked your Sapphire Preferred or Sapphire Reserve cards. And, make sure you know how to use Swagbucks. And, set up your Best Buy Rewards account if you don’t have one yet.
Disney Gift Card: Get a $50 Disney gift card and head to the register.
Best Buy Rewards: Give them the phone number associated with your Best Buy Rewards account. You’ll get between 1% and 2.5% in rewards. These can be used toward Disney gift cards in the future.
Swagbucks: Tell them you have Swagbucks as well and show them the QR Code. You can get one 250 Swagbuck bonus per day for a purchase of $50 or more. You also get 2 SB per dollar spent, another 100 SB in this case. These are worth $3.50 total.
Chase Pay: Then pull up your Chase Pay and scan that QR code. Just make sure it’s either the Sapphire Preferred or Reserve cards showing.
Repeat: Chase is only giving the 1,500 Ultimate Rewards bonus for five transactions. Since Swagbucks only gives one bonus per day, you’ll want to do this on five separate trips.
In total, you’ll earned about $55 in points on the purchase of $250 in Disney gift cards. This is 22% of the amount you spent.
