Four Points by Sheraton Anaheim Conversion
The “new” Four Points by Sheraton Anaheim is a short walk from Disneyland and cheap on points. It’s not technically a new hotel, but is undergoing a complete renovation. The property has been known as the Hotel Menage, but the room renovation will be complete May 2017 with the rest of the hotel into the summer. From that time on it will be known as the Four Points by Sheraton Anaheim.
Starwood Preferred Guest: Category 3
The hotel is a Category 3 Starwood property, which means it costs 7,000 points a night. This is perhaps the most economical property, from a points perspective, within walking distance of Disneyland. Even more, Starwood offers the 5th night free when you use points. So, 28,000 points would get you five free nights. The Starwood Preferred Guest Card comes with a 25,000 point sign up bonus, so you’ve got your next stay covered right out of the gate.
The hotel averages about $169 a night when paying cash, so using points can be a great way to save some money. Take advantage of the 5th night free opportunity and you’ll save around $845.
Four Points by Sheraton Anaheim: Hotel Overview
Rated with four out of five “circles” on TripAdvisor, the Four Points by Sheraton Anaheim is just over a half mile from the promenade between the two Disneyland Parks. It’s close enough to walk but also on the Anaheim Resort Transit system with consistent bus transportation.
A heated pool and thatched roof pool-side bar with margaritas and all your other favorite drinks are just a couple reasons you should take this hotel seriously. You can also see Disneyland fireworks from the pool! Did we mention it’s a heated pool?
The biggest drawbacks to this hotel? It’s located near I-5, so some complain about noisy rooms. We didn’t notice it in our room when we stayed, but we also sleep with white noise at night. The sound of cars on the highway is noticeable outside the rooms (but not obnoxious). Also, if you walk to Disneyland, the sidewalk is pretty close to a major street for part of the way. This can make parents with small kids nervous. These two reasons are probably why this hotel is fairly cheap on points.
