Aulani isn’t any more expensive than a deluxe hotel stay at Disney World or Disneyland. And we all know the scenery and weather are a lot nicer too (no offense Florida). But, the expensive part for most people is getting there. Especially if you’re on the East Coast, flights can be pretty expensive. Here’s a way to cover two of your flights to Aulani with credit card sign up bonuses.
Alaska Airlines “Buy One Get One”
Between now and February 28th, you can get the Alaska Airlines credit card from Bank of America and get 30,000 points and a BOGO round-trip flight. You’ll only pay the $22 taxes. And, you only have to spend a $1,000 in the first three months to get it.
Plus, those 30,000 points will be enough for at least one-way airfare on points to Hawaii for another flight, although that won’t count toward the BOGO offer.
Alaska is one of the 3-4 main airlines for flights to Hawaii, so this is a deal that would come in handy for most folks.
Barclaycard Arrival Plus Bonus
Barclaycard is offering 70,000 points for spending $5,000 in the first three months for their Arrival Plus card. These points can be redeemed for travel purchases at one cent each. So, 70,000 points can be used to pay off $700 in travel purchases on your Barclaycard statement.
Combining the Offers
You could use your Barclaycard Arrival Plus to pay for your flight to Hawaii when you cash in your BOGO code with Alaska Airlines. Then, you could cash in your Barclaycard points, essentially paying yourself back.
Assuming your flight to Hawaii is somewhere in the $700 range, you’d end up with two free flights and some Alaska miles left over for part of another.
