Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Hotel Review

The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress makes me want to take a deep breath and go, “Ahhhhhhh….” It has such a peaceful atmosphere, where relaxation seems to come instantly with your first step on the property.

The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress is an oasis in the middle of the city. With white sandy beaches, a lagoon style swimming pool, four golf courses, and beyond gorgeous grounds, this hotel has definitely earned its four-star rating. It’s beautiful.

The guest rooms are at the same time comfortable and elegant

The rooms at this hotel are at the same time comfortable and elegant. The rooms include all the amenities that you would expect, all equipped with a flat screen television, separate work area, chaise lounge, and many more. An added bonus to these rooms is that many of them have views of the pool, gardens and Lake Buena Vista.

The amount of recreational activities at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress is extensive. These recreational activities are so fun and include: paddle boarding, a HUGE pool with all sorts of bells and whistles (it is seriously amazing), hike/bike trails, rock climbing, racquetball, tennis, basketball, a Marilyn inspired spa, and more. It truly has something for everyone in your family. The hotel does have a daily resort fee of $25, that covers all of these awesome activities.

Speaking of family, sometimes you need a break. Camp Hyatt offers just that. Camp Hyatt is for children 3-12 years old. You can enroll your children in Camp Hyatt full day, half day, or for the evening hours. Camp Hyatt has varying costs depending on how long you enroll your children…but after a long day with your kids, a dinner/evening away, just adults…. might just be worth it. Plus, your kids would have a blast. Camp Hyatt activities include: crafts, scavenger hunts, pool and beach games, etc. The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress also offers babysitting and childcare services as well.

This Hyatt is just under two miles from Disney Springs; too far to walk to Disney transportation. The hotel does offer scheduled transportation to and from the Walt Disney World Transportation and Ticket Center (Magic Kingdom), Universal Orlando, and Sea World. It’s great that the hotel has a shuttle, however, it has scheduled pick up times, and is not continuous…so you would need to plan your day accordingly. There is a daily parking fee of $17 at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, so the scheduled shuttle will save you some money, if you don’t want to pay for even more parking fees at the Disney Parks.

The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress truly is a paradise. It’s perfect for those that are looking for a place to relax in the middle of theme park land. We as a family, love to have the best of both worlds, we love to go, go, go, do the parks in the morning, and then we like to relax by the pool in the afternoons. The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress would fit us perfectly. And those hammocks! Sign me up now….
