Back in November, we told you about the increased sign up bonus on the JetBlue Plus card. Originally reported by Doctor of Credit, you earn 60,000 points when you spend $1,000 in the first 90 days. This offer reportedly expires after today.
60,000 JetBlue points is worth about $900 so this is a substantial sign up bonus. Also, when you have this card, JetBlue gives you back 10% of the points you spend. In theory, that means the sign up bonus is more like 66,666 since you’d continue to 10% on top of 10% over and over.
Plus, JetBlue offers one of the few Amazon shopping portals, earning 3 points per dollar spent. This gives you another really easy way to earn additional points.
Using JetBlue Points
JetBlue points work the same way as Southwest Airlines. The cost in points is directly tied to the cost of the flight in cash. You get about 1.5 cent per point, so a $100 flight will cost you about 6,700 points.
