Walt Disney World released a new kind of ticket for people who are willing to wait until noon to enter the park each day. The discount may be worth your wait.
A Few Details
These tickets are available for dates from now through December 15th. They are offering from 1-4 days in length. You can purchase a standard one park per day ticket, a park hopper, or the park hopper plus option (includes water parks).
Standard 4-day Ticket
I picked a random date of October 19th compare. This is the price for a standard 4-day ticket that allows you to enter at park opening.
Mid-Day 4-Day Ticket
If you’re willing to wait until noon each day to enter the park, you’ll save $115.57, a 27% discount.
There is something to be said for hitting some key rides right at rope drop. But, with FastPass Plus giving you the opportunity schedule your FastPass times in advance, this honestly seems like a great deal. Saving money and sleeping in? Yes, please. What do you think?
Strategies for Additional Savings
First and foremost, you can always use discounted Disney gift cards to save on your Disney park tickets.
Also, some cards like the Barclaycard Arrival Plus and Capital One Venture allow you to redeem miles for travel purchases. While tickets through Disney’s website aren’t considered travel purchases, they do code that way when you get them through a company like Undercover Tourist. While UT and others don’t appear to be offering this new ticket yet, I’m sure they soon will be.
