No Parking Fees at These 4 Disney World Hotels

Did you let a few choice words fly the moment you found out Disney added parking fees at WDW Resorts? Was it awkward when you had to explain to the kids why those comments were directed at Disney? Ok, that’s a very specific situation that may have only happened at our house. But, if you were peeved at some level by this change, this post is for you.

Here are four hotels right around Disney World that offer great value on points and also include free parking.

1) SpringHill Suites Orlando at Flamingo Crossings/Western Entrance

For 25,000 Marriott points per night plus a 5th Night Free option, you can book the SpringHill Suites Orlando at Flamingo Crossings/Western Entrance. You’ll get free parking and free breakfast. Plus, this isn’t just any standard room. You get a Two Queen with Sofa Bed room that’s 410 square feet.

This hotel is just on the Western edge of Disney World, about a 10 minute drive to Animal Kingdom or Hollywood Studios. Remember, you can transfer Starwood points at a 1:3 rate to Marriott, so this would cost 8,333 Starwood points per night. Typically, a room here would cost about $175 after tax.

2) TownePlace Suites Orlando at Flamingo Crossings/Western Entrance

The sister property of the SpringHill Suites is also 25,000 points per night. At the TownePlace Suites Orlando at Flamingo Crossings/Western Entrance, you’ll get a similar Studio Two Queen with Sofa Bed and 386 square feet. But, this one comes with a full kitchen. Plus, you’ll get free breakfast and parking as well.

3) Hyatt Place Orlando/Convention Center

Only 8,000 Hyatt points, which are so easy to earn through Chase Ultimate Rewards. You’ll get a Two Double with Sofa Bed at the Hyatt Place Orlando/Convention Center. This one is also a large room at 395 square feet. Plus, you get both free breakfast and free parking.

The only downside to this option is that it’s about 20 minutes from Disney Springs. It’s cheap on points but it’s not as close to Disney as the others.

4) Courtyard Orlando Lake Buena Vista at Vista Centre

The Courtyard Orlando Lake Buena Vista at Vista Centre is only 20,000 Marriott points per night. It’s cheap on points, has free parking, and it’s only a few miles from Disney Spring. But you’ll just get your basic King or 2 Double room (293 square feet).

Easy Ways to Get the Points

We have 3 Marriott hotels and 1 Hyatt hotel on this list. Our favorite way to earn Marriott points is the Starwood Preferred Guest card. It has a sign up bonus of 25,000 Starwood points (75,000 Marriott). Plus, every dollar you spend earns one Starwood point (3 Marriott).

The easiest way to earn Hyatt points is through Chase Ultimate Rewards. Check out the Chase Sapphire Preferred and the sign up bonus that’s up to 55,000 points. They waive the annual fee for the first year and that sign up bonus will basically get you a free week at the Hyatt Place we listed.

If you decide to apply for the Starwood Preferred Guest Card or Chase Sapphire Preferred, we’ll write you into our will if you use our referral links. Of course, we’d say just about anything to get the referral points for our next Disney vacation. 🙂
