The Barclaycard Arrival Plus is currently our favorite sign up bonus for Disney vacations. You get 70,000 miles worth $700 toward travel purchases like your Disney hotel stay. And, they waive the annual fee in the first year.

In this post, we’ll show you how get over $900 from your sign up bonus. This involves booking your Disney hotel through Hotels.com and using either a cash back portal or discount code.

  • You’re starting with 80,000 miles worth $800

Where to Book Your Disney Hotel

You can redeem your Barclaycard miles as a statement to pay off eligible travel purchases you make with your Arrival Plus card. One of the best ways to save on a Disney hotel is through Hotels.com. We have found their prices to be the same as what is offered by Disney in most cases.

  • Hotels.com gives you the best opportunity to stack discounts

How to Stack Discounts

In addition to offering Disney hotels, Hotels.com has some great cashback portal opportunities and discount programs. For example, both Ebates and Swagbucks are currently offering 8% cash back if you go through them to book at Hotels.com. And Target is offering a 10% discount (not cash back) for all REDcard hotels at Hotels.com.

  • 8% cash back at Hotels.com through Ebates and Swagbbucks
  • 10% discount from Target for REDcard holders

Putting It Together

Let’s say you take advantage of the Target REDcard 10% discount. You’ll get 10% of the price immediately. This is 10% off of what is typically the same price as Disney offers. You use your Barclaycard to pay for it, then you’re able to pay off that charge with your miles.

Finally, Barclaycard gives you 5% of all the points you spend back. So, if you spent 80,000 miles, you’ll get 4,000 put back in your account worth $40. In total, you’ll have gotten over $900 out of your sign up bonus.
