15 Minutes Could Save You $1,500 at Disney

It was more like 25 minutes, but that doesn’t make a very good blog post title, does it? But, that’s exactly what happened on Wednesday this week. That morning, I read on The Points Guy that Chase is offering a 70,000 point sign up bonus for the Chase Ink Plus if you apply in a branch before May 15th (spending $5k in the first three months). The Chase Ink Plus is a business card from Chase, but don’t let that scare you, even a small side hobby business can get you approved if you have good credit and a modicum of revenue. How do I know? I immediately drove to my Chase branch, applied, and was instantly approved! I think you can tell from our Facebook likes that we’re a very small business.

The Chase Ink Plus earns Chase Ultimate Rewards, which can be transferred to valuable travel partners like Hyatt, Southwest Airlines, United Airlines, and others. In addition, you can spend the points on travel through the Chase travel center. We value Chase Ultimate Rewards at about two cents each and you would have about 75,000 points after completing the sign up bonus requirement (i.e. about $1,500 in free travel).

If you’re looking for ways to spend Chase Ultimate Rewards, take a look at our Top 10. The Hyatt, Southwest, and Pop Century options in the Top 10 are all based on using Chase Ultimate Rewards. We’re planning to use our points for flights on Southwest Airlines this Fall for our trip to Disneyland. Want to join us?
