Using Disney Rewards for food and souvenirs is a great way to pay for them on points. You know you’ll be pretty safe using your rewards card at anything owned by Disney. But, it’s less obvious where you can use your Disney Rewards Card at Disney Springs. While it’s Disney property, most of the stores and restaurants aren’t owned by Disney.
Using a Disney Rewards Card at Disney Springs
In most cases, you’ll have no problem using your Disney Rewards Card at Disney Springs, even at stores and restaurants that aren’t owned by Disney. We recently used our card at restaurants like Earl of Sandwich, Blaze Fast Fire’d Pizza and Frontera Cocina.
But, we did have some trouble using a Disney Rewards Card at Disney Springs at other locations. Both the AMC Theatre and Starbucks said they couldn’t take it. Now, it’s very possible we got store clerks who just didn’t know better. After all, the Disney Rewards website says AMC should take them. But, who wants to get in an argument about it and wait around for a manager?
Bottom line, you should plan to use your Disney Rewards at Disney Springs stores and restaurants. But, be prepared to use another form of payment.
