On a Disney vacation, it is good to be a morning person. There are several restaurants that offer early entry into the parks for guests attending events such as a character breakfast or the Bippity Boppity Boutique. These events are awesome, not only for becoming a princess or getting your picture with your favorite princess or character, but also for allowing you to achieve the perfect profile pic, with virtually no one in the background.
I give you exhibit A:
A picture in front of Cinderella’s castle is so iconic, a must for every family. Even better, when it’s just your family in the picture. Most restaurants that offer this early entry take reservations starting at 8 am, often a full hour before the parks open, so before you grab your table, take the opportunity to grab a picture in front of the castle or any other iconic “landmark” you want documented. Please keep in mind that you must have reservations at these restaurants and you can make these reservations up to 180 days in advance at Walt Disney World. At the parks, there is a special line for guests who have early reservations. The cast member will check your name on a list, and you can enter the park. From our experience, this is easy and painless.
Restaurants that offer breakfast/early entry at Magic Kingdom:
- Cinderella’s Royal Table (inside the castle itself, our personal favorite)
- The Crystal Palace
- Be Our Guest (inside Beast’s castle)
- Bippity Boppity Boutique (an experience, not a restaurant)
Not wanting to leave out the restaurants at the other parks that offer early entry character breakfasts, here is a list:
- Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
- Hollywood and Vine
- Tusker House
Disneyland *(selfie in front of Sleeping Beauty’s castle, anyone?):
- Plaza Inn: Minnie and Friends Breakfast in the Park
*Disneyland Dining reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance of your trip
During a Disney vacation, sometimes it is so hard getting up after a long day in the park. However, for the memories, it is so worth it. A good family picture, when your kids are fresh and don’t have a chocolate ice cream stain on their shirts (speaking from experience) is priceless. It is so nice to have that memento of your family’s Disney vacation. So, make that reservation, get there early, and get out your phone and start the selfie extravaganza.
